About me... Ambleside Alison

Hello, I'm Alison, a local Blue Badge Guide who lives in Ambleside, the heart of the Lake District.

Ambleside, Windermere, Grasmere, Hawkshead and Coniston are on my doorstep and I love showing people the area I call home. I specialise in sustainable tours and know the best scenic routes around our narrow lanes and authentic experiences for various sizes of group. I deliver knowledgeable and engaging commentaries which bring the area alive for visitors, using facts and legends. I also know where all the great photo opportunities and cake stops are!

I work with tour companies and directly with individuals to create authentic, unique and memorable experiences. Experienced working alongside chauffeurs, or stepping on a coach or minibus to guide you around the Lake District.

Many of my tours are available all year round, so whether its a couple of hours, a half day, full day or multi-day tour, I deliver experiences customised to the interests and demographic of the group.
