Students enjoy a lakeshore walk in the English Lake District

I receive lots of lovely reviews from visitors I have guided in the Lake District. These are just some of their reviews:

Guided Town Walk of Ambleside
“Alison Pickering was an excellent guide. Not only is she very knowledgeable about the town of Ambleside and the people who had contributed to the development of the place, she also made great efforts to cater to our interests by encouraging us to ask questions as she took us around the area. We also appreciated her preparatory work in creating visual aids and tokens to remember our visit. She was particularly considerate about our physical condition and ensure that we did not overly exert ourselves. She made the town come alive because of her many stories about the people who have lived there and are still living there.” Lin (group of 4 adults from Singapore)

"Thanks for a wonderful two days! You know your Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth backwards and forwards. You bring a natural enthusiasm to your work-I loved your laugh." GY, (two day private small group tour)

"Just to say thanks so much for today's tour - it was so interesting and everyone agreed your presentation style was excellent! I will certainly recommend you to other people" DK, (small group, Ambleside half day history walking tour)

"an excellent day, spent with your guidance" VG, (one day small group Beatrix Potter tour)

"Excellent, we all really enjoyed it" (tour leader, private half day highlights of the Lake District - tour by minibus)

"I really appreciate you going that extra mile for us and our clients!" CB, (travel advisor)

"Our group's day with Alison was well planned and greatly enjoyed by everyone.  It was a wonderful introduction to the Lake District." JZ, (group organiser for private coach group from the US)

Thank you to everyone who has entrusted me to create a memorable and enjoyable visit, whether we were on a lake cruise, a walk, visiting a church, historic home or garden, indulging in afternoon tea or even hugging Herdwick sheep!
